The Road of Conversion

One day I heard a holy, perfect, good, and reasonable brother say:

-If you hear today the call of the Spirit, open your heart

And be a saint, with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.

If you cannot be a saint, because it seems too far beyond your capabilities,
then at least be
perfect.

Be perfect with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.

If you cannot be perfect, because of life itself, or because of your limitations,
then do your best to be
good.

Be good with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.

If you cannot be good, because of your human weakness, or because of your selfishness
then be
reasonable. Being reasonable is good to the eyes of our Father.

But be reasonable with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.

Yet, if you cannot be reasonable, because of your arrogance and your fragility, then abandon yourself into the hands of our Father, who gives the bread to both the grateful and
the ungrateful, who makes it rain over both the good and the evil,

Abandon yourself into the hands of our Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.

And abandoning yourself into the hands of our Father, little by little you will begin to be reasonable.

Being reasonable you will understand the meaning of being good.

Being good you will be able to be perfect.

And being perfect you will aspire to be a saint

with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might
